Bachelor of Technology in Graphic Communications Management
The GCM degree program requires four years of full-time study, two terms per year: Fall (September – December) and Winter (January – April). A summer internship placement takes place between third and fourth years. The degree is completed through full-time studies.
Students complete a range of courses which prepare them as future professional managers in the printing industries. In addition to the Major in GCM, students may choose from a wide variety of Minors.
Graphic Communications Technology Courses
Introduction to Graphic Communications, Layout and Typography, Consumer Packaging, Graphic Communication Technologies and Processes, Binding and Finishing, Premedia Workflows, Color Management, Web and Cross-Media, Workflow Automation.
Business Management Courses
Professional Communication, Global Management, Marketing, Accounting, Management Studies, Project Management, Operations Management, Estimating and Selling for Graphic Communications. Students complete a range of required and elective courses in this category.
Core and Open Elective Courses
New Optional Concentrations
Students may complete one or more Optional Concentrations in Digital Graphic Output, Leadership, Packaging, or Publishing through the choice of elective courses.
Students choose courses from a broad range of elective courses in dozens of subjects including: English, languages, philosophy, history, geography, sociology, political science, art history, music, astronomy, etc.
