Bachelor of Technology in Graphic Communications Management
The GCM degree program requires four years of full-time study, two terms per year: Fall (September – December) and Winter (January – April). A summer internship placement takes place between third and fourth years. The degree is completed through full-time studies; however, direct entry to second year is possible for students who have completed the part-time Certificate in Graphic Communications.
Students complete a range of courses which prepare them as future professional managers in the printing industries. In addition to the Major in GCM, students may choose from a wide variety of Minors.
Printing Technology Courses
Layout and Typography, Document Design, Premedia, Printing Processes, Binding and Finishing Processes, Quality Control, Advanced Workflow and Advanced Technology
Business Management Courses
Professional Communication, Global Management, Marketing, Accounting, Management Studies, Selling in the Graphic Arts, Estimating for the Graphic Arts. Students complete a mix of compulsory and professionally-related elective courses in this category.
Students choose courses from a broad range of elective courses in dozens of subjects including: English, languages, philosophy, history, geography, sociology, political science, art history, music, astronomy, etc.
